Aquagold Hair + Scalp Microneedling

Aquagold is a revolutionary scalp microneedling system using 24K gold needles. At FCP Dermatology, this microchannel technology is used to deliver essential hair vitamins, minerals, and amino acids directly into the scalp. The Aquagold medical microneedling device features twenty microchannels, each thinner than a strand of hair. These microchannels are made with 24K gold-plated stainless steel to prevent irritation and infection. They deliver microdoses of a specialized FCP Dermatology hair growth cocktail underneath the surface of the scalp.

At FCP Dermatology we offer a full consultation prior to any hair growth treatment to determine which options are best for your type of hair loss.

Scalp Microneedling Treatment Overview

What is Aquagold Hair+ Scalp Microneedling?

Microneedling uses fine needles to induce collagen in the scalp and promote hair growth. A medical-grade microneedling device with ultra-fine needles is used to create small micro-injuries on the surface of the scalp. The body then begins to heal these micro-injuries by sending fibroblasts to the treated area notifying the body that it has been injured and needs repair. This process stimulates the body’s own production of growth factors that stimulate stem cells surrounding the hair follicle to make new hairs.

How does Aquagold Hair+ Scalp Microneedling work and what are the benefits?

Aquagold involves two methods of hair growth: 1. Microinjury stimulates the production of hair growth factors, 2. Essential hair growth nutrients and proteins specifically designed at FCP Dermatology are delivered into the scalp to further stimulate hair growth. With 20 ultrafine gold-coated needles, finer than a strand of human hair, Aquagold reaches the dermis (middle layer of the skin). The microneedles enter directly into the scalp, allowing the active ingredients present in the vial to be absorbed effectively. The technique is relatively painless. There is no downtime and patients can immediately return to their normal routine after the treatment.

Microneedling stimulates the generation of proteins and growth factors in the scalp which are responsible for regulating the hair growth cycle. The revitalizing cocktail of vitamins is specifically developed at FCP Dermatology to fight hair loss and promote hair growth, nourishing and revitalizing the hair follicle. New hair growth can be seen as early as 3 months after 3 treatments.

Scalp Microneedling Treatment Procedure

How is the Aquagold Hair+ Scalp Microneedling procedure done?

Before the procedure – A cosmetic consultation will be done with our team to determine if 24K Aquagold Hair+ Scalp Microneedling Treatment is the right option for you. Avoid taking any blood thinning medications such as Advil or Aspirin to reduce the risk of bleeding or bruising.

During the procedure – The treatment area will be thoroughly disinfected and mapped out. The device will be stamped evenly on the treatment area, releasing the serums into the scalp while creating micro punctures. The procedure is quick, and pain free lasting about 15-20 minutes.

After the procedure – Avoid anti-inflammatory drugs or blood-thinning medications such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and Advil for 24 hours. Tylenol can be taken for analgesia if necessary. It is recommended to avoid washing your hair for 24 hours following the procedure.

The Aquagold Hair+ Scalp Microneedling treatment is minimally invasive. This means that it involves very little discomfort and does not require patient hospitalization allowing you to return to normal activities following the procedure.

Scalp Microneedling Treatment Information

What are a few key Ingredients in the FCP Dermatology Aquagold Hair+ solution?

Phosphatidic acid: a molecule specifically for hair follicle treatment which stimulates the growth and proliferation of capillary bulb cells, prolonging the anagen (growth) phase and reducing the catagen (falling out) phase.

Riboflavin: a group B vitamin that plays a protective role in maintaining cell integrity and development.

S.O.D.: extracted from the seeds of melon, superoxide dismutase reduces the toxic effect of free radicals by neutralizing them. Its protective action ensures the proper development of the hair bulb.

Amino acids: helps to build proteins involved in the proper development of the stem and the matrix of the hair.
