MCT Exosome Hair Restoration is an advanced regenerative therapy that uses autologous exosomes derived from the patient’s own biologic material through the Meta Cell Technology (MCT) system. Overview of the Procedure
How It Works & What To Expect
- A small amount of the patient’s blood fluid is collected and spun in a centrifuge to extract platelet rich plasma.
- The plasma is processed in the MCT Unit®, where it undergoes controlled photothermal stimulation, increasing ATP production and exosome release.
- The exosome-rich serum is then microinjected into targeted areas of the scalp.
- Over the next several weeks, exosomes signal cellular repair, activate follicular stem cells, and reverse miniaturization of hair follicles.
Stay well-hydrated and avoid anti-inflammatory medications for 24 hours.
The scalp is cleansed, then the MCT-derived exosome serum is injected using fine microinjections across thinning areas. A vibrating device is used on the scalp along with the needles to make the treatment more comfortable.
Avoid washing your hair for 24 hours and taking Aspirin, Advil, etc. for 24 hours. Tylenol is safe for any minor discomfort.
Treatment Plan & Results
We typically recommend a series of 6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance every 6–12 months. Most patients notice improved texture and reduced shedding within the first few months, with full results developing gradually over time.
